Teresa B Cooper

Teresa B Cooper, Realtor ®

In today’s roller-coaster real estate market, you need the services of a competent, multi-skilled professional businessperson to guide you safely through. Teresa is a CPA and an educator, with over 30 years experience in business, investing, managing, educating, negotiating and analyzing. She has worked with corporations, non-profits, entrepreneurs, investors, and individuals in many aspects of business, finance, and real estate acquisitions and management. Teresa has lived in the Charleston tri-county area for 20 years – including Ladson, North Charleston, West Ashley, and Johns Island. She and her husband Fred currently live in West Ashley, along with their SPCA “soul pets” – three dogs (Wulf, Muggs, and Roxie) and one cat (Gizmo).

Shortly after the Coopers moved from Kentucky to Charleston, Hurricane Hugo devastated the Lowcountry. Teresa and Fred spent the next couple of weeks working in a makeshift kitchen on the CSU campus, helping prepare and serve hot meals to area residents in need. Since then, Teresa and her husband have continued to be actively involved in the community, helping to found and operate the Lighthouse Mission in North Charleston for several years, and earning the Dorchester County Sheriff’s “Certificate of Availability” for their willingness to dedicate time to making the community a better place to live. Teresa continues to work with other non-profits, and has served as Finance Director, and Interim Executive Director of Happy Days and Special Times, an organization for the benefit of children with cancer, and their families.
